Lobe

Lobe piercings are by far the most common piercings. They are located in the lower part of the ear, also known as Lobule. Due to the amount of blood flow in this area, the healing process is easy and uncomplicated. The amount of lobe piercings you can have depends on your ear size, some people can fit up to 4 lobe piercings.

Pain:

2/10

Healing Time:

4-8 weeks, this varies from person to person.

Jewellery:

EVERYTHING

However, we recommend labrets in 6mm for upper lobe piercings, because of their flat back they will not hurt or irritate your piercings when sleeping on them.

After Care:

Taking care of your freshly pierced ear is the most important thing in the entire process. Listen carefully to your piercer’s instructions and follow them all.

In general, avoid touching your piercing or moving the jewellery, this can allow bacteria to enter your wound and can cause irritation or infection.

Using a saline or antiseptic solution (e.g. Octonisept) to clean your piercing twice a day until your piercing is fully healed.

Use your hair up for the first week and be extra careful when dressing to avoid snagging your jewellery.

For 2-3 weeks avoid swimming in lakes, pools or hot tubs.
